The Onde Trio formed in 2023 at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music Pre-College and is coached by Doris Fukawa. The name “Onde,” wave in Italian, reflects their shared sound, the San Francisco Bay, and a playful nod to their curly hair. The trio earned First Prize at the US International Music Competition and top prizes at the MIMA and ENKOR International Music Competitions. They have performed throughout the Bay Area and played for Emanuel Ax, Jonathan Brown, and Julio Elizalde. The trio was featured on NPR’s From the Top, appearing on Show 474 in February 2026.
