We open the season with the remarkable Viano Quartet, recipients of the 2025 Avery Fisher Career Grant and First Prize winners of the prestigious 13th Banff International String Quartet Competition. They currently serve as Bowers Program Artists at the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center for the 2024–2027 seasons.

Our October program features a special Sunday afternoon performance at KMFA with Anton Nel, and Sandy Yamamoto, presenting the beautiful and evocative Franck Violin Sonata, with a program titled The Nightingale’s Sonata. This program features commentary by author Tom Wolf and is based on his comprehensive biography of the 20th-century violinist Lea Luboshutz.

In collaboration with Austin Classical Guitar, we present Movie Magic featuring Sandy Yamamoto and the Moontower Duo. This exciting evening will showcase beloved film music arranged by the duo, ranging from the enchanting worlds of Miyazaki films to the epic landscapes of The Lord of the Rings. The program will also feature Matthew Lyons’ original composition inspired by the silent film The Phantom of the Opera.

ACMC is thrilled to announce a brand-new home for our beloved holiday tradition: Bass Concert Hall at UT Austin. Think better parking, more seating options, and a festive lobby where you can meet Snoopy, grab a drink and some snacks, and soak in the holiday spirit before the show even starts.

January brings the electrifying Project Trio, a dynamic ensemble celebrated for its genre-defying performances and captivating stage presence. Blending classical, jazz, hip-hop, and world music influences, the trio continues to redefine the possibilities of chamber music. Two of their albums have appeared in the Top 10 of the Billboard Classical and Instrumental charts.

We welcome the acclaimed Parker Quartet, winners of the Bordeaux International String Quartet Competition and recipients of the 2011 Grammy Award for Best Chamber Music Performance for their recording of the complete string quartets of György Ligeti. The quartet currently serves as Quartet-in-Residence at Harvard University.

We conclude the season with Sandy and Friends, an evening of piano chamber music featuring Anton Nel, Hyobi Sim, Matthew Zalkind, and Sandy Yamamoto. Bringing together some of the best chamber musicians from Austin and across the country, this program promises to be a joyful and celebratory finale to the season.
