Nakta Quartet

Formed in September 2025 at the New England Conservatory, the Nakta String Quartet (Korean for “Camel”) is coached by Kim Kashkashian, and a recipient of NEC’s 2025–26 Honors Ensemble Award. The quartet performs throughout the Boston area and will present a full recital in Jordan Hall on April 13, 2026. The Nakta Quartet are dedicated to expanding access to chamber music through engaging with public schools, rural communities, and students underrepresented in traditional classical spaces, while ultimately honoring the lineage of quartet repertoire.
