Center Woodwind Quintet

The Center Woodwind Quintet is the premier woodwind chamber ensemble from the University of North Texas comprised of masters and doctoral students. In 2025, the group made national appearances at the Coltman, MTNA, and Fischoff Chamber Music Competitions. As chosen performers, the group presented a recital at the Midwest International Band and Orchestra Clinic, which included the world premiere of Jeffrey Mumford’s “unfolding paths through reflected light.” This commission was a result of being selected as recipients of the UNT Graduate Presser Award. The group frequently presents community engagement concerts at schools, libraries, and retirement communities throughout the DFW area.
