The Boston-based Boreus Quintet is a wind quintet named after the Greek god of the Northeast winds, Boreus. Originally known as the Nthº Wind Quintet, the now Boreus Quintet met as incoming graduate students to the New England Conservatory in the fall of 2025 and went on to win the 2024-2025 NEC Honors Chamber Ensemble Competition. Drawn together by a shared passion for music and collaboration, they strive to produce a vibrant concert experience through artistic excellence, thoughtful programming, and a commitment to both traditional and contemporary repertoire.
