Based in Ann Arbor, the Bear Quartet was formed by friends who met at the University of Michigan’s School of Music, Theatre, and Dance. They were the 2025 winner of the Gustave Rosseels String Quartet Competition, receiving the Rosseels Endowed Prize and the opportunity to perform a full recital at the University of Michigan. They have also performed in masterclasses for renowned chamber musicians including Norman Fischer, the Ehnes Quartet, and the Telegraph Quartet. Connected by their shared love for chamber music, the Bear Quartet is very grateful to have the opportunity to play together.
