The Bar Before Quintet was formed at the University of Colorado Boulder in 2023. All of the members hail from Colorado, each bringing unique musical and academic backgrounds that shape the group’s sound. The quintet commits to programming engaging and accessible repertoire that connects with audiences. The Bar Before Quintet has been selected as an Honors Chamber Ensemble by the CU College of Music to represent the university, bringing chamber music to the Boulder community. In addition, in 2026, the quintet was selected as a finalist for the MTNA Chamber Music Competition.
