Chloe Yofan

A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Chloe Yofan is the newly appointed Assistant Concertmaster of the Austin Symphony Orchestra, a position she assumed in 2025 after previously performing in the second violin section. She is also a member of the first violin section of the Austin Opera Orchestra. Since moving to Texas in 2023, she has appeared as a substitute violinist with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and the San Antonio Philharmonic. As a soloist, she has performed with the Balcones Community Orchestra.

In addition to her orchestral work, Chloe Yofan is a member of the Soha Quartet, the Young Professional String Quartet in Residence at the University of Texas at Austin, where they are mentored by the Miró Quartet. Chloe has collaborated with artists including Sandy Yamamoto, Daniel Ching, Bion Tsang, Zlatomir Fung, Jennifer Frautschi, Rebecca Young, Rick Rowley, and Emmanuel Feldman in various chamber music settings.

Chloe is currently pursuing a Master of Music in Chamber Music at the University of Texas at Austin, where she studies with William Fedkenheuer and Daniel Ching. She earned her Master of Music in Violin Performance at UT, studying with and serving as Sandy Yamamoto’s Teaching Assistant, and her Bachelor’s degree in Violin Performance from the Eastman School of Music under Oleh Krysa. At Eastman, she received a Certificate of Achievement in Chamber Music and was awarded the Peter Salaff Award for Excellence in Chamber Music. Chloe has participated in the Sarasota Music Festival, the Aspen Music Festival and School, the Green Mountain Chamber Music Institute, and the Encore Chamber Music Institute.
