Bear Quartet

Based in Ann Arbor, the Bear Quartet was formed in 2025 by friends who met at the University of Michigan’s School of Music, Theatre, and Dance. In 2026, they were awarded Second Prize in the Nancy and Dale Briggs Competition at the University of Michigan, and were Semi-Finalists of the Coltman Chamber Music Competition. They won the 2025 Gustave Rosseels String Quartet Competition, receiving the Rosseels Endowed Prize and the opportunity to perform a full recital at the University of Michigan. They have also performed in masterclasses for renowned chamber musicians including Norman Fischer, the Ehnes Quartet, and the Telegraph Quartet. Connected by their shared love for chamber music, the Bear Quartet is very grateful to have the opportunity to play together.
