Golden Connections Festival Concert at Emeritus Spicewood Springs featuring Auteur Saxophone Quartet.

Auteur Saxophone Quartet

A thoughtful and artistic quartet who brings a new voice to original and transcribed compositions for the saxophone, the Auteur Saxophone Quartet is dedicated to making music that truly reflects the passion that its members have for artistry and innovation within their medium. No matter what repertoire is being performed, the goal of this ensemble is to make music that not only brings composers hard work and creativity to life, but to enhance compositions with their own blend of energy and imagination. Formed at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan in 2014 under the tutelage of distinguished faculty member Professor Joseph Lulloff, Auteur Saxophone Quartet has participated in several national competitions in the United States including the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition and was named the Senior Division Winners of the 2015 Coltman Chamber Music Competition in Austin, Texas. Auteur Saxophone Quartet includes saxophonists Chemie Ching, Dylan Ward, Jeff Kinsey, and Chris Ogden. Together, they share the same inspiration for music making which provides the ensemble with the artistic direction needed in order give compelling, and most importantly, entertaining performances.
