cage birthday 2

Considered by many as a prime pioneer in the innovation of music and sound, Cage turned classical composition on its ear with his unique style.

with Carla McElhaney & Michelle Schumann , prepared pianos

Music for Two Prepared Pianos | John Cage (1912-1992)

For one night, Schumann and McElhaney will perform a pair of pianos, which will be doctored up with various objects including screws, bolts, rubber, wood, weather stripping, pencil erasers, and pennies; all placed in between the strings of the piano.
