Shawna’s portfolio of work includes clinical and strategy roles in health, education, the arts, economic development, and media production. She is an advocate for Austin’s startup community, advises social impact enterprises, curates TEDx experiences, and develops partnerships for Singularity University. A quantum collaborator and proponent of combinatorial creativity, she is sought after for establishing unexpected, high impact partnerships.
The University of North Carolina daringly admitted her to their MBA program (their first nurse) and after a few years of figuring out what to do with a student from the non profit world, enthusiastically granted her degree. She learned the art and science of nursing at The Catholic University in Washington, DC, but her children and their music teachers deserve credit for teaching her what matters most.
