Patryce King is a passionate pianist, teacher and fundraiser for charity. She was introduced to music at a young age through her mother’s singing voice and her father’s whistling. Patryce and her brother had an idyllic upbringing up in the rolling hills of Missouri . Enabled by music scholarships and scholarships attained through the Miss America Program, Patryce studied piano performance at Southeast Missouri State University . She has been a collaborative artist through the Austin Chamber Ensemble, The Interlochen Center for the Arts, Operafestival di Roma and was chosen to perform for Stanislav Ioudenitch, Gold Medal Winner of the 2001 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, through the teachers division of the TCU/Cliburn Piano Institute.

Patryce has made it her mission to host concerts in order to raise awareness for The Smile Train, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping the millions of children worldwide who suffer from cleft lip and palate. It provides free surgery for children, free training for doctors and research to find a cure. Her cause is named Haylee’s Hope in honor of her niece, who was born with a bilateral cleft palate. King is a board member for the Austin Young Artists Concert and is the Artistic Director of King’s Kids, her private piano studio. In her free time she enjoys training with her friends at RunTex and is inspired by her yoga practice.
