Mikaila Seo is an avid teacher and performer in the Austin area. She owns her own private teaching studio, Seo String Studio, and enjoys teaching students of all ages. While pursing her Master of Music degree in Chicago, IL, Mikaila was very fortunate to practice and perform chamber music with talented musicians such as Roger Chase, Stefan Hersh and Julian Hersh. Her performances have been broadcasted on WFMT, Chicago’s classical music radio station. Mikaila has performed in many festivals around the United States and Canada such as: Heifetz International Music Institute, Killington Music Festival, Round Top Festival Institute, Mendocino Music Festival, Orford Arts Center, and the Lake George Music Festival.
Currently in Austin, in addition to teaching her private studio, she is on faculty and works as the Office Manager at the University of Texas at Austin String Project. Past teaching engagements include the University of Texas at Austin Longhorn Music Camp, Austin Soundwaves Program, and the Round Rock Symphony ASPIRE program.
