California native Mark Arritola has his Bachelors of Music from the Eastman School of Music, where he was a New York Foundation of the Arts Scholar. He also completed a Masters of Music Performance at Southern Methodist University, and is currently working on a Doctoral degree in Clarinet Performance at the University of Texas at Austin. In addition to working on a Doctorate, he also serves as Principal Clarinet of the Texas National Guard Band, performs in several Professional Orchestras in the area, and teaches a studio of twenty clarinet students. He also coaches student chamber music groups, for the Austin Chamber Music Center. He has performed in eight summer music festivals, including the Manchester Music Festival in Vermont, the Aspen Music Festival in Colorado, and the National Orchestral Institute in Maryland. He also has served on the facility’s of Temple College, Central Texas College and Georgia State University. In his spare time he enjoys running, and riding his bike through the Texas Hill Country.
