Karen Dahl is a freelance violinist and private teacher in the Austin area, and is also a faculty member at the Hispanic Alliance for the Arts. She has been performing professionally since the age of 15, in both orchestral and chamber settings and as a collaborative pianist.
She recently moved to Austin from Cleveland, where she completed her Masters Degree in Violin Performance (Cleveland State University), studying with Erich Eichhorn of the Cleveland Orchestra. Karen received her BM in Violin Performance at St. Cloud State University. Locally she plays with the Temple, Round Rock, and Kingsville symphonies, as well as various classical and alternative music projects around Austin.
Karen has great interest in organic gardening and sustainable living, and spends much of her free time outdoors.
