Director of Education
Jeni received her Master of Music in Clarinet Performance from the University of Texas at Austin in and Bachelor of Music in Clarinet Performance at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
After receiving her master’s degree, Jeni accepted a position as faculty clarinet instructor (2003-2005) at Texas Lutheran University in Seguin, Texas. During her time at TLU she promoted music education and performance through fundamentals, literature, pedagogy, individual and group projects, and discussions. She also led the clarinet choir and conducted all undergraduate clarinet lessons.
In 2004 Jeni began teaching with the Austin Chamber Music Center as a faculty wind coach for In-School Programs, Young Artists Academy, Adult Academy and Summer Workshop. In 2007 she was appointed the Adult Academy Coordinator and Summer Festival Coordinator, which required organizing live and silent auditions, receptions, and all concert logistics. In August of 2008, Jeni accepted the position of Director of Education, which she currently holds with great honor and dedication.
With teaching being a strong passion, Jeni continues to coach woodwind chamber ensembles for ACMC’s In-School programs during the fall and spring semesters at the McCallum Fine Arts Academy and Lamar Middle School. She also continues to maintain a private clarinet studio that continually inspire her as an educator.
