Jeni Gossard
Director of Education
Educated at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and the University of Texas at Austin, Jeni Gossard received her Masters of Music Degree in Clarinet Performance from UT in 2003.
After receiving her master’s degree, Ms. Gossard took a position as the faculty clarinet instructor (2003-2005) at Texas Lutheran University in Seguin, Texas. While there, she promoted music education and performance through fundamentals, literature, pedagogy, performance, individual and group projects, and discussions.
In 2004 Ms. Gossard began teaching at the Austin Chamber Music Center as a faculty wind coach for the In-School Programs, Saturday Academy, Adult Academy and Summer Workshop. From 2007-2008 she was appointed Summer Festival Coordinator, which required organizing live and silent auditions, receptions, and all concert logistics. During the same year she was appointed Adult Academy Coordinator. In August of 2008, Ms. Gossard became the Director of Education, a position that she currently holds with great honor and dedication.
Ms. Gossard continues to teach a private clarinet studio of Austin middle and high school students, many of whom receive high ratings at local festivals and competitions. She also coaches wind ensembles for ACMC’s programs during the fall & spring semesters.
