Dr. Eric Stone Miller, DMA has taught at Southwestern University since 2005. He is principal bassoonist of the Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra and the Austin Chamber Ensemble. Dr. Miller has taught at Bethany College (KS), Wichita State University, Yale University (CT), Georgia State University (GA), the University of Texas (Austin), Temple College, Texas State University, Blinn College and A&M University in College Station.
Dr. Miller has performed with many orchestras and ensembles including: Wichita Symphony Orchestra; the San Antonio Symphony Orchestra; Mid-Texas Symphony; LaGrange Symphony Orchestra (GA); the Atlanta Ballet; Abilene Philharmonic; Augusta Symphony Orchestra (GA); Monterrey Orchestra (MEX); Austin Lyric Opera; Austin Symphony.
He has also participated in numerous festivals including: Brevard Music Center; Tanglewood; Bowdoin; Sarasota; Norfolk Chamber Music Festival; the Victoria Bach Festival and the Las Vegas Music Festival. His teachers have included: Frank Morelli, K. David Van Hoesen, John Hunt, Eric Arbiter, Nancy Lutes, Kristen Wolfe Jensen and George C. Adams.
