Announcing the 2012 Coltman Chamber Competition!
The annual Felicity Coltman Chamber Music Competition provides performance experience and expert commentary to advanced applicants. Each year we’re seeing more and more talented and enthusiastic student ensembles from string quartets, to saxophone quintets, to piano trios, to woodwind and brass quintets. Come out and see the talent that Austin and surrounding areas have to offer either through competing or being an audience member (Free Admission)!

The Coltman Competition will take place on Sunday, February 5, 2012 from 3:00-6:00pm (winning ensembles will be announced at 6pm) at the Armstrong Community Music School, 901 Barton Springs Rd.
Application & Entry Fees ($15 per ensemble member) Deadline: February 1, 2012

1st Place Winning Ensemble Prizes:
$500 cash prize; Scholarship to ACMC’s 2012 Summer Workshop OR 2012-13 Young Artists Academy; Live taping & interview with Dianne Donovan at KMFA 89.5; Performance at an ACMC Synchronism Concert during the 2012 spring semester.
2nd Place Winning Ensemble Prizes:
$250 cash prize; Scholarship to ACMC’s 2012 Summer Workshop OR 2012-13 Young Artists Academy; Performance at an ACMC Synchronism Concert during the 2012 spring semester.
